In addition to legal identity, ID.me’s attribute exchange validates unique attributes, like someone’s status as a veteran, doctor, student, first responder, nurse, and more. ID.me can also conduct records and licensing checks to verify personal details such as name, date of birth, and license number. These validated credentials complement our legal identity credentials and facilitate federated attribute-based access control, granting access privileges for specific groups like medical providers and veterans. This user-centric model allows multiple credentials to be linked to a single login, delivering a seamless and customer-focused experience.

Once verified, the user receives a corresponding credential in their ID.me Digital Wallet, allowing them to securely store and share their verified community status across the ID.me network.

With over 100 million users, ID.me enables customers to extend exclusive offers to the more than 20 million individuals who have already verified their community affiliation. After integration, these users can share their verified status in just three clicks—or about 20 seconds—by consenting to release their information from the ID.me Digital Wallet.

Government-issued ID

ID.me provides a guided interface that prompts users to upload a government-issued ID. After capture, the image is enhanced and normalized before being securely authenticated. Examples include a Driver’s license, state ID, passport, and passport card.

Phone verification

ID.me uses browser-based APIs to assess the age of the identity tied to a phone number, along with contextual, behavioral, and device data, to verify users and detect potential fraud.

Official email

Members can complete verification in real-time with their official email address including .mil, .gov, or company domain.

Silent credentialing

ID.me can silently credential all verified medical professionals.
